Ridden Assessment 15 mins, followed by 30 mins instruction;  £45

(With Andrew and Melanie, assessing rider posture and straightness and also horse's straightness - seeking to identify any restrictions in horse and rider than may be adversely affecting performance).

All of our liveries are offered a free ridden assessment when they first bring their horse to join our yard.  This service is also available to outside clients (that do not keep their horse with us).

Andrew has a lot of experience with all levels of horse and rider from 'happy hackers' right through to top level competion horses.  Treating Grand Prix dressage horses; Nation Cup Team members and top Show Horses.

Together with Melanie, Andrew can indentify restriction in the horse's movement and the rider's own body.  Often stiffness in the rider causes them to favour a certain leg and hand; this can have a huge effect on the horse's way of going and amazing results can be acheived once the rider is straightened.

Andrew was honoured to be invited to spend some time with Andy Thomas (Team GB physio) and gained an invaluable insight into the approach taken with riders at the Olympics.  Andrew has taken this knowledge and developed specific straightening and strengthening exercises specifically for riders.

Melanie gained the BHSAI under Islay Auty and Becky Johnston 20 years ago (!) and has been teaching ever since, taking great pleasure in improving riders that need help with the basics of schooling, all the way up to riders competing at Advanced Medium.

Andrew and Melanie work very closely together planning indiviual schooling and fitness plans for each horse and rider.

This individually tailored service is also available to clients that do not keep their horses with us.
